Privacy Policy
RemerAI is a private daybook for the people in your life. This page explains what we store, who processes it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 2026
Yours only
No feed, no sharing. Row-level security means only your account can read your entries.
Never used for training
Entry text goes to OpenAI only to organise it, and is not used to train their models.
Delete in one tap
Settings → Delete account erases everything, permanently and immediately.
What we collect
When you use RemerAI, the following is stored in your account:
- Account info — your email address (for sign-in) and authentication tokens.
- Your entries — the journal text you write.
- Derived data — people, threads (tags), groups, relationships, important dates, reminders, AI-generated summaries, and mood notes extracted from your entries.
- Voice notes — if you use voice capture, audio is transcribed with Apple’s speech recognition: on your device where the language supports it, otherwise on Apple’s servers. We never store the audio; only the transcript is saved, as entry text.
- Crash diagnostics — if the app crashes or freezes, iOS hands us a technical report (call stacks, app version, iOS version) so we can fix it. These come from Apple’s MetricKit, are stored in your account, and contain no entry text. We do not use a third-party crash reporting service.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or browsing activity. We do not sell your data.
How your data is used
- To provide the core app: storing, organising, and showing your memories.
- To run AI features: when you save an entry, its text is sent to OpenAI to extract people, threads, dates, and reminders, and to generate profile summaries and answer questions about your own entries.
Third parties who process your data
- Supabase — our backend host. Stores your account and entries. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Access is restricted per user via row-level security.
- OpenAI — processes your entry text to power the AI features described above. Per OpenAI’s API policy, data sent through the API is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring.
- Apple — speech recognition for voice notes, and subscriptions through the App Store.
We only share what is necessary for these services to function.
Security
- All network traffic uses TLS 1.3.
- Data at rest is encrypted (AES-256).
- Row-level security ensures only you can access your own data.
- Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
RemerAI is not end-to-end encrypted: because AI features require reading your entry text, our backend and OpenAI can process it. If this matters to you, keep especially sensitive details out of your entries.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account — Settings → “Delete account” permanently and immediately erases your account and all associated data (entries, people, threads, reminders). This cannot be undone.
- Access / export — Settings → “Export my data”, or contact us to request a copy of your data.
- Correct — you can edit or delete any entry, person, thread, or reminder in the app at any time.
Children
RemerAI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
